Derek is a truck driver and farmer. Chris is a farm host. She works with their neighbour to provide farm tours (sheep shearing and dog handling demonstrations) and lunches.

From north: Travel to Fairlie from Geraldine. At Fairlie turn left onto Highway 8 (Fairlie-Timaru Hwy). From 100km sign travel 3.2kms and turn right onto McLeans Road. Travel 5.1kms. Westerlies is on righthand side, old cart at gateway with sign. From south (Tekapo): carry on through Fairlie township onto Fairlie-Timaru Hwy, then as above. Arrival time: not before 3.30pm Departure: by 10.00am If you are going to arrive after 6pm, please phone your hosts.
